Muscular skeletal injuries in workplaces are the biggest cost to insurance premiums, lost time for workers and cause of injuries to staff working in the care sector, which is why using aids correctly is so important. We recognise the importance of correct practices for manual handling and this workshop is designed to give hands on experience using a range of mechanical and assistive aids that workers use in the community health sector.

Since completing , all I can say is I am so pleased I chose NIET !This was a fast paced course but the delivery was thoroughly organised . Petra was always available and a listening ear to debrief to . All subjects thoroughly explained / demonstrated . I recently completed the Certificate IV in Celebrancy and it was such a fantastic experience. I had enrolled with an online provider initially but changing to the face to face with NEIT. I felt more prepared with my one week of face to face learning than online for 6 months. I cannot endorse Judy highly enough. Such a great trainer who goes above and beyond for her students and knows her stuff like the back of her hand. She explains everything so clearly and there is never a stupid question according to her. She is approachable and understands the learning process as a student and supports all her students through the course and beyond. I actually miss the learning with her.

I have recently completed Certificate 4’s in Disability, Aged Care and Leisure & Health. My teachers Sam and Mary were absolutely wonderful. Having worked in the industries as well they were able to share real life experiences with us to prepare us for work. They were available in class and via email or phone if we needed help whilst studying at home. They were there every step of the way to ensure we would complete our certificates with flying colours as well as be work ready.I would highly recommend NIET.I have now been working in the Disability Sector for 20 months and am absolutely loving my new career.

I completed my Cert1V in Agecare in 2020 and I found it to be enjoyable friendly atmosphere, our teacher Sam Gillick was the best teacher there.I made so many new friends and learnt so much and really brought me out of my shell. I now with the guidance of Sam have employment at a Agecare facility that I totally love. I feel I should have done this qualification years ago.A amazing journey and experience in the 12months I have been working. NEIT are so professional and nothing is too much to help anyone of us out.Well done Sam and NEIT and thank you 😊
